Frequently asked questions
How do I print a label at my own jar size?
Open Label Studio, choose your jar size or enter the exact lid diameter and jar height. Preview updates instantly, then export a PDF from the share sheet.
Can I move blends between devices?
No automatic sync exists. All data stays on-device with SwiftData. You can share the printed batch sheet as a reference if you want to recreate a blend by hand.
Does the app need an account?
No. SpiceWright Mix Bench has no accounts, no logins, and no server-side profile. The ingredient library and your blends live only on your device.
How is shelf-life guidance calculated?
The Shelf-Life Inspector finds the limiting ingredient in your blend and compares it to the storage conditions you set. It is a guide, not a safety certificate.
Batch sheet and label export steps
Open a saved blend
All blends are local. Pick one from the shelf to open it in the workbench.
Adjust the batch size
Use Batch Scaling to change from a teaspoon test batch to the jar or bulk weight you plan to fill.
Preview the label
Label Studio shows the ingredient list, heat rating, make and best-by dates, and your brand line if you added one.
Export or print
Choose Save as PDF from the print dialog. The batch sheet is also available for your own records.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Check |
|---|---|
| Flavor radar does not update | Tap the radar header once to reset the chart view, then adjust an ingredient by grams. |
| Ingredient library appears empty | Close and reopen the app. The seed library is bundled locally and loads on first launch. |
| PDF export is blank | Use the system print dialog and choose Save as PDF. Check that your printer paper size matches the label size. |
